Through my journey...
The process of completing this whole blog is interesting yet it is tougher than I ever thought. For
someone, who has never ever blog before this, or never ever crossed my mind that I would be
designing a blog for myself it is truly something new for me to experienced. During the process, I
learn mostly designing techniques from different types of program and soft wares like the Adobe
Illustrator and also Adobe Photoshop. This particular soft wares are very useful in both editing
and cropping images, and yet user friendly. I find these program can be used not only blogging
but during webpage design or other production process, it may come in handy as well.
Furthermore, I find it is crucial for us to understand who is our target market and audience
before we decided on how to create our key messages. Messages should always be specifically
targeted towards an audience group, understanding the audience is usually the key in designing
the message itself. For my blog, my targeted audience like what I have said earlier on, therefore posting up most of the issues are related to the issue of new technology of publication that gives live to blogging, and also blogging issues like freedom to speech, and also the blogging ethics.

Free to Speak, Free to Post?
" I just want to talk !! "
Blogging redefine the meaning "freedom of speech", but many parties think this is going beyond and above the freedom, and yet uncontrolable. Those who want to be free and those who want to constrain — blogging also provides new opportunities for communication and anonymity (world press, 2006).
Based on the article, free speech is one of the most discuss issue in around countries like London and the states, especially inside business oriented site. Like i said in my postings "Blog for many reasons", this issue is totally affected by how people judge the usage of blogging in a good way. I have listed out most of the reasons why blog, but anyone who go beyond that and in the same time being offensive towards some other parties, it is totally out from the usage of blogging.

Bloggers fight for their right that they just want to talk and always thought it is harmful for them to just post what ever they feel like want to say, but study shows blogging is one of the biggest actions in Internet so far, and also obtained the most viewee. Isnt that be strong enough to affect and be harmful if the information posted are some sort of brain washing? This happen in China for instance where, blogging is booming in China with the number of bloggers expected to hit 60 million by the end of year 2006, and the number is for sure rising above (world press, 2006)
Therefore, to make bloggers ro register before they started, i think it is quiet necessary, where the government at least find a solution to control what should and what shouldnt be post before it is too late. I am someone who support the freedom of speech as well, but it is just a freedom for you to speak (or speech) with someone but not the freedom for you to post. I will always take account on my words maybe be offensive to some people, and hence, i never wanted to touched or go any nearer to issues which are sensitive to be talk about.
Always remember, free to speak but maybe not free to post.

Electronic media, a new replacement?
The new electronic media, a new face, a new challenge..
As technology moves at lightning speed through publishing, electronic media will displace more and more printed media during the next 20 years, according to a study commissioned by the Graphic Arts Marketing Information Service (GAMIS) (Frenetter,1989).
As technology moves at lightning speed through publishing, electronic media will displace more and more printed media during the next 20 years, according to a study commissioned by the Graphic Arts Marketing Information Service (GAMIS) (Frenetter,1989).
The new technology will bring a whole change of genre and reading preferences to the public. Somehow, technology replacing the publication brings issues for both the users and the publisher as well, don’t you agree?
As we can see, all the digital forms of publication can be used and access by city people with the gadgets to used, but on the other hand we left out the rural areas. Lacking of gadgets and accessibility to internet in certain areas like this, causing them difficulty to enjoy the new technology forms as we do. Besides that, article from Frenette, mentioned that new technology face eventually enable publishers to do much of their own pre-press work; commercial imaging devices will be of graphic arts quality.
However, I personally think not all the reading materials need to be filled up with beautiful and special graphics to be attractive in a way, like what most publishers are doing now. Reading newspaper as instance, I would prefer the contents inside of the paper instead of the design of it.
Therefore I personally think, technology cannot be a replacement totally for normal printing media.

Live video & video clip push vs Television
Battle Of The Year..!!
With my understanding so far, live video is basically live streaming is videos or program that broadcast live (not really live thou, it is always a minute or two delay) but on the other hand video clip push are videos that firstly buffers in a bundle of minutes and both of these services can be displayed on your mobile phone.
These particular services available in many countries including Malaysia as well and it is normally provided by telecommunication service operator, for example Maxis in our country.

However there are many complications, such as, do customers willing to pay for any of these services? And why do they need it so far, since television can provides the entertainment more than enough for users? Customers are usually looking for breaking news and also entertainment news as well, however mostly working class people may not schedule their time accordingly to what they want to watched with television program.
Hence, video clip push is one of the solutions for them to enjoy the time searching for what they want to watch anytime, instead of waiting favorite television program to be on air. Although many customers find the service is expensive, but yet they are still willing to pay for it !! What a surprise. Personally, I do subscribe for some of the live video channels via my mobile phone as well, and I find it is true!! Whenever I am bored in the class (not during lecture for sure) I do watched in somehow. Although the screen I a little bit too small, but in this battle, I find the mobile phones is the winner. I seriously spend more time with my mobile phone instead on the television. Are you the same as me?

(1e)Designing for print versus designing online.
Which one do you prefer in the future? Paper or Paperless?
It is always an issue around to discuss between pro's and con's for online and physical designations. New technologies create a drastic face change in new forms of publication. “The percentage of print products displaced by electronic substitutes should increase from about 2 percent in 1996 to more than 7 percent in 2006. The print volume lost to electronic media by then is estimated to be nearly $20 billion, the survey states”, (Frenette, 1989). The studies show, messages that transfer digitally via internet or online reached out a larger medium in the same time creating far-reaching impact in the medium compared to physical printing. It is more effective for some organization's to used online method to send out their messages effectively and effciently. Furthermore, online publication was proved to be more cost effective compared to physical printing. “Much of the technology, too, will create cost savings, leading to a 10 percent to 20 percent reduction in the printer's cost of goods that are sold in the next 10 to 15 years”, (Frenette, 1989). Soft wares and processor used in online designation reduced the cost of physical printing, and it also helps enhance the speed of productivity of publication. It explains in a scenario, where you find normal physical printing will be slower instead of online publication, for example, physical leaftlets or brochures versus online advertisement like banners or pop-ups. Which one will be faster and easier to reach out more people? Definitely, the online version of ad.
